A Bluebonnet Festival Near Austin Next Month Will Have Helicopter Rides & Baby Goats

by Kelly Martin

Texas definitely has one of the most beautiful state flowers in the entire U.S., and every spring we are eternally grateful that our hills and highways are covered with them. There are few spots where you can truly see them in all their glory, one of which is in Fredericksburg! Because of this, a giant bluebonnet festival in the city nearĀ Austin is taking place next month and is going to be two days of fun-filled activities.

Fredericksburg Bluebonnet Festival starts on Friday, April 17 at 4 p.m. and ends Saturday, April 18 at 10 p.m. They knew that one day wouldn’t be enough, so they made sure to have at least two days for people to come out.

Tickets for the fest are on sale now and range from $5 to $37 depending on what all you’d like your tickets to include.

Not only will you be surrounded by bluebonnets both days, but The Best of Texas Wine and Food Festival is not disappointing with the food, drink, and entertainment that’ll be there as well.

Local cheeses, amazing wines, live music, helicopter rides through the countryside, and baby goats are just a few exciting features of the fest.

There are varying locations for each attraction, but, generally, everything will be held in the same area.

There will also be helicopter rides over the Hill Country for only $37 plus tax! There’s no better way to see the gorgeous Texas landscape than from the sky.

Old San Antonio Road has the most scenic wildflower route and is where you’ll spot most of the bluebonnets.

Bankersmith Dance Hall will have lots of food and drink to enjoy, and after you’ve consumed as much as you’d like you can dance it all away.

This festival is going to be one for the books, and we can hardly wait for it to be here! April showers may bring May flowers but in Texas, the bluebonnets are blooming sooner rather than later.

And that, my friends, is worth celebrating!
