On April 8, 2024, the eclipse will trace a narrow path of totality (complete darkness) across 13 states, with the longest duration in Texas and the shortest in Maine. Because the eclipse will enter the United States through Texas and into Arkansas, Texans will be first to experience it.
We welcome you in advance to our farm. It is going to be important that you take the time to read the messages we send to you.
This is a one day event, held on April 8. All our guests are invited to join us during the weekend, but festival activities are April 8th only. This April 8th event consists of Eclipse viewing and Polo capped with a VIP Farm to Table Dinner, Live Music and Wine Tasting. All followed by a Hot Air Balloon Glow and Rides (Extremely Weather Contingent).

EVENT SUMMARY
All in one day and all in Fredericksburg Texas! The Full Eclipse, Polo, a Farm to Table Dinner, Award Winning Wines and a Night Time Balloon Glow plus Hot Air Balloon Rides (rides are always weather and safety contingent)! Held at Grapetown Vineyard and the Fredericksburg Polo Club (on same property) VIP’s will enjoy a Polo Match capped with a VIP Farm to Table Dinner, Live Music and Wine Tasting. Polo and this VIP Dinner are followed by a Hot Air Balloon Glow at Dusk, then Hot Air Balloon Rides. The VIP Passes are geared towards a more refined higher end experience. GA Passes are available, but LIMITED. Sales will end soon.
GA PASS
This ticket does NOT include food, drink or parking. This pass is for admission only. This ticket guarantees seating in the General Admission viewing area the day of the Solar Eclipse. You are welcome to join us Friday through Monday on the property. But the main festivities will be held the day of the Solar Eclipse. Parking must be purchased in advance and is an additional fee.
VIP PASS
VIP ECLIPSE VIEWING. HOT AIR BALLOONS. FARM TO TABLE DINNER. POLO. This pass allows property access all weekend plus access to the Solar VIP Area the day of the eclipse. Your Fredericksburg Bucket List awaits! All in one day and all in Fredericksburg Texas! Polo, a Farm to Table Dinner, Award Winning Wines and a Nighttime Balloon Glow plus Hot Air Balloon Rides (rides are always weather and safety contingent)! Held at Grapetown Vineyard and the Fredericksburg Polo Club (on same property) VIP’s will enjoy a VIP Eclipse Viewing Area, a Polo Match capped with a VIP Farm to Table Dinner, Live Music and Wine Tasting. Polo and this VIP Dinner are followed by a Hot Air Balloon Glow at Dusk, then Hot Air Balloon Rides. The VIP Passes are All Inclusive (including the $25 Hot Air Balloon Ride) and geared towards a more refined higher end experience. SPECIAL NOTE: Grapetown Vineyard and Farm is also home to many exotic animals. There are Safari Wine Tours available for purchase that will give you the opportunity for a behind the scenes tour to meet Camels, Alpacas, Goats, Rheas, Blackbuck, Reindeer, Zebras and more! Tours are available earlier in the day at 9AM, 11AM, 1PM and 3PM. Those who choose the 3PM tour will miss most of the Polo Match. These Safari Wine Tours are NOT included in any pass, VIP or GA, and must therefore be booked and purchased separately and in addition to any other passes. DISCLAIMER: Hot Air Balloons are extremely weather contingent. We cannot guarantee that the weather will cooperate. We will guarantee you that we always do our best to inflate and activate balloons. We also guarantee you that we will always put safety first. When the weather does not cooperate, and if balloon rides are not completed we will refund any guest with an unused Hot Air Balloon Ride Pass $25 for their unused Balloon Ride or offer you a complimentary Hot Air Balloon ride at a future event. VIP Pass includes VIP Access in the Grand Solar Eclipse VIP Area. This also includes a Farm to Table Dinner plus a private bar and your drinks on the day of the Solar Eclipse with live music.
CAMPING PASS
Each Camping Pass purchased is good for 1 night of primitive camping ONLY. This pass is good for tent camping only. This does NOT include parking, festival admission, food or drink. It is for 1 NIGHT only. If you want to stay multiple nights, you need to purchase multiple passes. No water or electric hookups available. If you want to stay multiple days, purchase the quantity you need. All guests are welcome to stay a MAXIMUM of UP TO and NOT TO EXCEED 5 DAYS. Guests are encouraged to arrive a day or so in advance and leave at least a day after the Eclipse, to avoid traffic jams on all local and major roads-highways. Due to TABC regulation, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON SITE.
RV CAMPING PASS
Purchase this pass for 1 night of primitive RV camping. This pass is good for tent, camper or RV parking. No water or electric hookups available. It is for 1 night only. If you want to stay multiple days, purchase the quantity you need. Each RV Pass purchased is good for 1 night ONLY. This pass is good for RV Parking only. This does NOT include festival admission, food or drink. It is for 1 NIGHT only. If you want to stay multiple nights, you need to purchase multiple passes. No water or electric hookups available. HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE
This ticket does NOT include admission, food, drink or parking. Hot Air Balloon Rides are extremely weather contingent. These are tethered rides. If Balloon Rides must be canceled due to safety, we will issue you passes to ride at a future event of your choosing in 2024. There are absolutely no refunds. DISCLAIMER: We do not have hundreds of balloons. We have 1-2 Hot Air Balloons each event for the glow and rides. Hot Air Balloons are extremely weather contingent. We cannot guarantee that the weather will cooperate. We will guarantee you that we always do our best to inflate and activate balloons. We also guarantee you that we will always put safety first. When the weather does not cooperate, and if balloon rides are not completed we will offer you a complimentary Hot Air Balloon ride at a future event over the next two years (you choose). This purchase is for a Tethered Hot Air Balloon Ride. THIS IS NOT A PASS. You still must purchase an admission pass to the event.
PARKING – VIP’S DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE PARKING! Everyone else must pre-purchase parking. This is parking per day. One day only.

CAMP SITE DETAILS: All tent campsites are 14×30 feet, RV campsites are 20×40 feet. Everything must fit inside this campsite space, including your vehicle and tent/RV/Camper. CAMPING: This is primitive camping. Campsites do not have electric, nor water hookups. RVs must be self-contained. Generators are allowed but are not allowed to be a nuisance to neighbors and other campers. Generators may be allowed in the tent area if they are truly quiet. Solar power is welcomed for all campsites. Pets are allowed but MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES. Portable toilets will be located at each campground and throughout the festival area. Handwashing stations will also be available. Firewoodwill also be available for campfires, in and around camp sites. Campsite guests may bring outside food and beverages to their campsite. Alcoholic beverages are allowed at your campsite, and will also be available for purchase in the festival area. Outside alcohol is not allowed in Festival-Winery or any permitted areas due to TABC regulation. Book your campsite today as spots will go quickly.
